@Jessa29 Dislikes can upset people, especially sensitive ones who need support. That is bullying isn't it? If you really don't support bullying please don't provide people with extra tools that are ideal for that very purpose.
@fazer1k My idea is that we can either like a post or response, or we can simply acknowledge that we read it. If we don't want to say, I like this, and don't want to leave a comment, we could just leave an acknowledgement that we read it. Right now, the heart is all we have, and that can mean we like it or just that we've seen it.

@Serenitree I don't believe people would heart anything they didn't like. I certainly don't. I believe a tick would just be interpreted as a dislike, given the failure to 'heart' and knowing it would just be a substitute for a dislike button, so would result in similar responses to a dislike button. In my view there is nothing to be gained by dislikes or substitute responses other than opening a door for potential discouragement at best, and press-gang style censorship and bullying of those less popular than others at worst.
