👎 Should we have a Dislike button on posts?

We want to implement Reactions/Emotions on Similar Worlds at some point.

However, we wonder if including a Dislike/Thumbs Down button would bring us benefits or not.

A dislike button does not accomplish anything purposeful.

Those that seek to irritate, would be happy for it ... as if they need more encouragement and tools?

The consequence will be more blocking ... members will simply block those who dislike a comment or story ... which adds to way too much blocking now.

Each of these tools ... delete, dislike, block, flag ... are all used to issue non-verbal covert retaliations to other members.... essentially a "leveling of the playing field".

And negativity is something almost all SW members start with and surely we have an ample supply of that ... we do not need to be encouraged to add to it.
