Are short men funnier than tall men?

Who knows. For years I never got the short tall dichotomy or that women liked tall men. I didn't know that was a thing. I've since wondered if it was some kind of thing like a peacocks tail or maybe at some point in the past tall men could reach fruit higher up in trees or something.
