Saying "like a series of stories that continue in different ways" is far too simplistic.
Life is change itself. Everything changes like a kaleidoscope that is interconnected. It has a life of it's own that breathes, hears, sees and does so much more all at once.
And there is no ending to it.
So what if a cell dies? There's another cell to replace it. Hopefully a cell, that will not die so easily, without learning more.
