How long does it take you to finally accept that you aren't wanted?

Sometimes we fall for people that merely use us for their own selfish ends. There's nothing wrong with loving people, the problem is comes when you have to finally acknowledge that you aren't a priority and cut your losses. Is it an easy thing for you to do?

When you’ve experienced rejection as a child, it hurts of course, but you come to understand that in some situations you won’t always be welcome. It’s less of a shock later—you pick up the pieces and move on.
