Can't beat it still one of my favourite comfort foods in the cold weather.

Here there’s a dish called tamale pie that includes taco-seasoned ground beef, corn, chopped tomatoes and peppers (I use mild ones), cheese.
The pie shell is yellow corn bread. I suspect it may be a Southwest take on Shepherd/Cottage Pie, but it’s also good as comfort food.
