It's not really odd that the Bible doesn't give us the very day that Jesus was born.

God always has good reason for what he does. I believe God wanted his precious gift to the world, to be remembered and emphasized, not the date he was born. Yet, even now, people are fussing about the day. O come, let us adore Him...not ignore him.

Lord God, thank you for the precious gift of Jesus, your son, who came all the way from heaven, just to save us and redeem us to himself, so that any can have a beautiful eternal life in heaven with you, your son, your Holy Spirit, and all the beautiful angels and our loved ones who have gone before us in Christ. But mostly we praise you and give you all the glory and honor, that only you deserve and your son, for the greatest gift and sacrifice the world has ever known.

Lord, help us to remember the reason for the season and focus on that. Send your love and peace to our hearts and teach us what love truly is, and how to truly love people and help them. God help those who are poor, in pain, disabled, hungry, homeless, sick, or dying. Help those who are troubled and depressed.... those who feel alone. Help us to remember that though we may feel alone or actually be alone, your presence and love are always with us and that is such a great comfort, Lord. Thank you for your unconditional love and for never abandoning us. There are times that we may walk away from you, but I thank you for never walking away from us, but in your love and beautiful caring, you are always there waiting for us, to return, and welcome us always with open arms. Thank you for being available to us, 24/7, through prayer. Thank you for accepting us as we are and never turning us away.

Strengthen those who are recovering from an illness, and bring new life and health to their whole body. Minister to them Lord, help them, strengthen them greatly in mind, body, soul, and spirit. Send people to help them, for this truly is the Spirit of you, that you bring to remembrance this season, and that we should carry and practice throughout the year.

Now bless each one here on SW, Lord, giving them the same. I pray you will give each of us, the best Christmas ever. Touch each one of us with your Holy Spirit of love, peace, healing of emotions, and physical challenges. Help us keep our focus on you, instead of all the concerns of this world. Help us to keep you in remembrance this season and always. Fill us with your love, peace, and joy, as we focus on you. Impart to us, your peace, love, and joy, that passes all understanding....and that only you can give. Thank you for who you are, all you are, and for your precious Son, Jesus, who died for the sins of the world, so that we may be forgiven and have a brand new life in you. Keep each and every one of us safe during this holiday season. Guide us and protect us, in our going out and coming back, wherever we may travel. In Jesus' Holy Name I pray, and for His sake, Amen.

Here's the way I see it.
God didn't give us Christ's birthday because that was not important for us to know.
What was important is who He is and why God sent Him.
Also, as with other events and places mentioned in the Bible, they are left to unknown or not found because God wants us to have faith.
For example, Noah's Ark. With all of today's technology, we still haven't found concrete evidence of Noah's Ark. Why? because God wants us to have faith that it happened just as the Bible tells us it did.
Only a few certain people saw Christ after he rose from the tomb. If everyone had seen him, everyone would believe in He being the Son of God, but God only allowed a certain few to witness this, so the rest of us must take it on faith.
Having faith is a main key to Christianity.
And to quote a line from a well known Christmas movie, "Faith is believing in something that common sense tells you not too."

Here's something else to that event, that is most interesting. Forty days after his resurrection, Christ, shrouded in clouds, ascended to Heaven. The climactic event of his time on Earth was witnessed by 11 of his 12 Disciples: Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Christ for 30 pieces of silver, had hanged himself in shame.

How many people saw Jesus alive after the crucifixion?

Paul assures us that many people saw Jesus after His resurrection:

Who was the last person Jesus appeared to after his resurrection?

This lists, in chronological order, the first appearance was to Peter, then to "the Twelve," then to five hundred at one time, then to James (presumably James the brother of Jesus), then to "all the Apostles," and last, to Paul himself.

@revenant
maybe he is attending to other folks in other galaxies

That could very well be true, but being omnipresent, and omniscient, he's more than able to handle them all at once. Hahaha God's Word says that he made us to be in the image of himself, and that we are his crown creation, so I doubt there are any other like us, specifically, in the universe. He didn't say Crown creations, so that indicates to me that we are his best creation, in his heart. However, being the universe is so huge, I doubt we are the only creatures he created because that's what he loves to do, create.

@revenant

I find it odd though, that though people have chosen a date to celebrate Christmas, some still celebrate the day and not the reason for the season. Some still missed the point. Unbelievable. Something to think about.

@LadyGrace it is important for people.

i have always imagined that Jesus was born on the festival of first fruits since that is what he was/is for us.
LadyGrace · 70-79
@Pfuzylogic Paul said, "We have the Spirit as the first fruits" in Romans 8:23. The Holy Spirit is a fortaste, of our future glory. He is God's pledge, of more to come in our resurrection life.

@LadyGrace
I have always found the Holy Bible to be my source of discovery. I do like your reference to the Holy Sporit.
When Paul said Jesus is “the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Cor. 15:20), he was drawing an analogy between the Old Testament offering and Jesus’ resurrection. As the Old Testament firstfruits symbolized and consecrated the entire harvest that was to follow, Christ’s resurrection was the foretaste of the resurrection of all believers yet to come. His resurrection is our assurance that one day all believers will be raised from the dead and will receive new, resurrected bodies.
i just googled this so i could connect the concept of first fruits with Jesus.

@Pfuzylogic Yes!! ❤ That's another great verse. Love that. Our examples are a little bit different because they were taken from different situations and occasions when Paul spoke to various people. I love that you included that beautiful verse. 🙏👌
