How do you deal with someone who loves to complain all the time?

Maybe it's the only way they know to communicate 😀

Depends. If it was someone not considered important in my life I'd avoid/ignore. The ones I care about, I try to listen. When it gets too much I lighten up the convo. I often know how to distract them lol.

No. Complaining too much can only backfire & drain one's energy reinforcing all the negative thoughts. It's helpful to give them & everyone else a break in my opinion.

Complaining is just an explicit way to communicate such misery. It makes me believe they need a happy distraction even more.
