I choose not to deal with someone like that.
But there have been times I've had a family member behave that way and I kept reminding them to be grateful. Now they do not choose me to complain to. 😂

@SW-User I normally pretend to be listening while minding my business. But sometimes I get impatient with them...

@Unlearn I have found that these serial complainers aren't looking for a solution. They're addicted to their victimhood. But when I start reminding them all the things they have to be grateful for, it rattles them a bit.

@SW-User They don't like it one bit. They were just getting warmed up and swimming in the sea of their self-pity...out of the blue you remind them there is no sea and they can't swim no more. Ouch! 😀

@SW-User Same with me. I don't create drama nor do I indulge others doing it. Few people take it personally. Complaining to them is like what painting was to Picasso. They're in their elements when they're doing it. I inadvertently become the wet blanket...
