Have you gotten used to being addressed as Sir or Ma'am ?

I still feel a little awkward. Especially at work, when younger colleagues stand up when you are talking to them. You suddenly don't know how to behave around them 😀

When I was an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces I was always called sir. I was also saluted. After I got out of the forces I had a friend who had been an enlisted man. Someone called him 'Sir' and he responded, "Don't sir me, I'm as good as the next man".

Funnily enough I don't mind being called 'honey' or 'sweetie' but when someone calls me Ma'am I feel 100 years old 😆
I like it

“So do I call you Sir?”

😅 Ye sure. Why not

@Teggy Nobody asks it. It feels awkward when you're talking to a younger colleague, like just another colleague but they suddenly make the whole thing so formal. Problem is you get used to it and kinda start expecting it... 😐
