Pharmaceutical drugs in general. They all have potential side effects and some of them are serious. Doctors sit down with their script pad and start writing out prescriptions. When the patient comes back complaining of something new, the doctor will sit down with their script pad and write out one or more prescriptions for it. Instead of telling them it is the side effect of the original medication. That’s why you see so many elderly on dozen of meds. Had an aunt on over 2 dozen prescription meds, easy to get confused about them when some are one-a-day, some are twice a day, some are 3 times a day, some with or without food only. Etc. People end up becoming walking pharmacies and the doctors are getting richer from the pharmaceutical kickbacks for writing out a certain $ amount of pharmaceuticals from each company annually. They say if you re sitting in a doctor’s waiting room and you see someone with a wheeled tote walking to the back of the office it’s a pharmaceutical representative bringing more drugs for doctors to consider prescribing to the patients.
