That most people (especially men) don’t have the same good intentions and good will toward you that you have for them.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Carissimi you can’t assume that everyone is capable of the same thoughts, reasoning, emotional intelligence, and change that you are just because you are

I had to learn this one too. This was a big one for me

That’s why that’s my moral. From a very young age, I believed everyone was as honest, and had the same integrity as myself. I truly believed that men loved like I did: That if I love a man, I have no romantic interest in other men. While it’s true for me, it’s not true for men, or even many women. Going through life with such naivety will bring a lot of disappoint and pain. It wasn’t just men and romance, it was people in general in various aspects of life.

I have learned the hard way, and instead of being naive, I’ve gone 180 deg to the opposite in not trusting anyone. Hell, if I can’t trust myself to have read the human race correctly for most of my life, I certainly can’t trust anyone else. @DeluxedEdition

Life is going to knock you down. Keep the faith and keep the hope that it will get better because it can and it will

Life will start after death.

@SW-User It's the only way to cope with the failures in life for me. The comfort that something better lies ahead for me after death.

@assemblingaknob What failure? You have a good job. You can afford Ubers daily. You're doing awesome
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@SW-User Thank you. Maybe it's a matter of perspective that I lack.
