I think being in a group only impacts the feed. I think one of the sliders in the custom settings is for your groups (see more or see less).

I think they are consolidating groups. So I presume all old groups have a successor.
This reminds me of our database at work that has all companies in the US (except railroads). It is a database of all companies that paying into the unemployment insurance system. When a company or location splits or merges there is a predecessor and a successor variable. It is usually filled in. 🙄
The database excludes railroads since they have their own unemployment insurance system that predates the rest.
We use this database as our sampling frame for our surveys.

@Vivaci This is the point Viv... There is no such thing as a groupless post. You leave the group, but what you posted there stays behind.
