What do you think about the Azov battalion's members openly saying they consider themselves actual Nazis?

What race are Ukrainians even considered? As far as I know, they're Slavs. And I mean, Hitler deemed slavs sub human, why would they align with Nazism? Not saying it's any better but plain nationalism I think would be more understandable

Slavic Nazis don’t make a lot of sense to me, but far right groups often identify with Hitler and the Nazis whether or not the actually Nazis would’ve accepted them.

As for their effect on the Russo-Ukrainian War, it doesn't change my opinion that Russia has no business being in Ukraine and their "de-Nazification" argument is BS. Russia is also home to many neo-Nazi groups.
