How Do You Close a Post to Comments?

I see “closed posts” every so often, but I don’t see how to do it.
* No more comments please. I found out it’s only VIP members who can close comments and other features.

Well, I thought I knew because it used to be that VIP members had a gold star on their profile, but I now think they have removed this, or the member has the option not to show it. Those I checked had no gold stars, but on further investigation I think they are VIP because they have closed other features as well. So now I know. @zerofuks2give

I paid for VIP just so I could do that...close all my posts.
I got tired of people leaving comments that were trollish and I wish to have everything closed before I am done here.
VIP isn't really that important to me for anything else.

I checked the profiles were I saw they had closed their posts, thinking they must be VIP. They weren’t. I don’t know why some have the ability to close and others don’t. @SW-User

@Carissimi You can be VIP to close posts, but not always keep VIP after the end time. I don't plan on renewing mine.

If you click on your post just above where it has the number of views etc there is a padlock that says close post

Also some posts become moot when you have resolved a situation. @Justmeraeagain
