Always viewed them as useless in an emergency. But now that government mandates have usurped the bill of rights I have no respect for them

2 out of 10. I believe every cop is just a person in a uniform. They go home to their families and live just like everyone else. They are only doing what they are trained to think is right. But that doesnt make it right every time. My problem isnt with them its the justice system.

I love the po po

It is a numbers thing, mostly yes but I can't help but be aware that there are a number who do not remain within the bounds they are supposed to and you can't know who they are so I try not to have any interactions with them at all.

For me personally, pretty high. I think you get what you give when it comes to cops. And if you don't break the law it gets pretty easy.
All I know is it's an EXTRAORDINARILY hard job and one I would never want to do. And there's a massive difference between Barney Fife in a small town and some dude working a beat in the projects of Chicago.

I have trust in and the utmost respect for the overwhelming majority of the men and women in uniform. Yes there are some bad ones but they make up a tiny percentage of the profession.

I don’t have an extreme mistrust of them, but I know that if shit hits the fan, they have each other’s backs even if they know one of them is in the wrong.
There’s also that saying “when seconds count, the police are minutes away.” I suppose I don’t trust that they’re really able to help most of the time even if they wanted to.

I couldn’t do their job because I’d be too cynical listening to people’s bullshit every day.

The ultimate truth is that I really don’t care if a few losers get the short end of the stick. It’s always the felons we worry about. Let’s focus on their victims instead. If you’re a law abiding citizen, your risk is damn close to zero of a bad encounter with the police. They have better things to do with their time.

The above doesn’t mean I believe in the unlawful use of force just to be clear.
