It's looking too likely. Damages to US credit and reputation are probably underway already.
The government fails to tax the rich or create funding for projects people need and that we can't afford not to begin because of the climate crisis. Borrow from itself? That isn't how we talk or walk except when it comes to fifteen trillion dollar wars.
