Similarly for me - albeit with different names for car types and I have always wanted practical rather than show-off cars!
My musical tastes have certainly changed. Although I still like rock and blues (real rhythm-and-blues, not the supermarket "r'n'b"), I forsook the manufactured chart and dance-club material long ago. Styles like drum-and-bass, and rap, leave me cold.
Instead my likes broadened considerably, to cover many orchestral, solo, instrumental and vocal styles; from 500 years ago to music being composed now.
I'm too old for finding partners, but yes, it is the character that matters.

They have changed quite a bit. All for the better,I think and feels like we are "fine-tuning" ourselves☺️

Yes like you I prefer to be with a partner who has a better heart. Looks fade but the heart is constant.
I'm more practical now and I don't crave for the best as I used to back in the day. I prefer old vehicles over new ones. I'd like a sportscar someday but I wouldn't invest in a depreciating asset.

Yes. There are many things I liked when I was younger but don't like now.
