Well, they've been telling me the AntiChrist would take over the world in my lifetime since as far back as I can remember. By now, I figure he'd better get on with it then -- or I'll be gone before the 7 year mess gets well started and then my generation will have worried all these years for nothing.

One day at a time is my philosophy. The world has seen terrible times before.

@SW-User I didn’t know it was going to be during my generation. I thought it was 50-70-100 years away. I am shocked to realize it now

@SW-User I am surprised that it took you unaware. However, I know preaching and teaching in the church keeps changing. We were taught to be always vigilant.

@SW-User well.....I was raised by atheists, then became agnostic, then totally lost in all of it 😄 and did not believe/ did not know and denied it all. No one told me anything. I mean, years ago I have heard here and there that some day there will be some end of the world ...200 years away... But only in 2020 I realized it was the beginning of the end literally. I was shocked. Everything changed

@SW-User I'm not convinced yet that The End of the World is upon us. As I said before, this old world has been through a lot of trouble, and each generation before us felt they were the last.

Ya my mother is telling me the same thing @SW-User She said Disciples themselves were waiting for the end of the world any day then, so this isn’t it either. I wish

@SW-User What your mum said is from the New Testament. John, at the end of Revelation, asks that the Lord may come quickly -- and some interpret that as a sign that John believed the AntiChrist was already at work in the world and the End was imminent. Other scholars interpret the "AntiChrist" as the spirit of Satan, which is and has been always present anyway.
