... many people are leaving at the moment, and maybe for good reasons. Please let me say that SW is still the most amazing social site in the known galaxy and you are doing a fine job. 🌷
Keep up the good work,
H.–

I don't plan on leaving but I have noticed the change in atmosphere.

But this place is like EP - it goes through good an dbad times as the mix of people changes.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Pretzel I think the cause of the change in atmosphere is the behaviour and attitude of the administrators. Changes in membership or activity are consequences of that.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@MartinII very well could be. admin is a necessary evil and since we don't pay for the site...we get what we get.

I'm still not convinced that this place is somebody's doctorate thesis :)

@MartinII We don't know enough about the financial status of the site. Maybe they have to change things, or the site will not survive.
MartinII · 70-79, M
[ @Pretzel I have suggested elsewhere that it might be a good thing if we did have to pay. I would be happy to if it gave me some influence over the site’s policies.

@MartinII It's not the administrators. Its not the mods. Its the attitude of the users who have a lack of imagination and creativity. It takes a very unusual individual to be consistent. Consistency is hard to obtain for anybody involved in anything. You gotta keep going.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I don’t agree. I think the administrators influence the way people behave, and the sorts of people who join or decide to stay. They discourage diversity, in the true, not the politically correct, sense of the term.

I don’t understand the relevance of your comments about consistency.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@MartinII The admins are not responsible for your own personal behavior. You are. They encourage diversity. Its the fault of those who feel these emotions subjectively. Wanting to have more views. Wanting to have more comments. Wanting to have more attention. That's a personal issue. If people aren't feeling you here that's on you. You cannot make them like you. Consistency is being relevant time and time again.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I simply don’t understand what you are on about. The fact is that the management actively discourage discussion of some topics I am interested in, and have persecuted some friends and acquaintances of mine who have chosen to leave.. Far from encouraging diversity, the management encourage conformity.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@MartinII What discourages diversity here are the very entities themselves that lack creativity. And focus too much on the politics of the site. Never agitate the handlers. 🙂
