My choice would be Hans Christian Anderson. A lonely man of great insight and compassion, he also knew that what seems to be evil and pointless suffering is in fact not but part of God's plan of which we as mere puppies can barely understand let alone critique.

Nahh...could NEVER get bored with war...as for the "other" (NOT the drinking) just think about what I would be like when I return after I had stormed some city or crushed an enemy army on the battlefield...hummmm?
