Why is it so hard to find someone?

I've met people that I quite liked but it always seems like we are just to far apart whether the age gap or just distance. I dream of meeting my counterpart but i feel the dream and wish just gets crushed Everytime I wakeup

Don't go looking or you will mess it up, and overlook whats staring you in the face, let it find you and develop!
People rarely find their ideal (eg what car people drive probably isn't their own choice, but look at what car you would choose and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't fit everything you need either).
