What do dreams reveal about our thoughts?

There I was - lazing in Jeremy Sisto's pool and BEEEEP! BEEEEP! BEEEEEP!
I woke up feeling very disoriented.
Have you ever turned off the alarm, made coffee, made the bed, and brushed your teeth - only to wake up and realise it was all a dream. It's called a false awakening and a very strange phenomena.

When I was in the military I came home dead beat one day. Collapsed on my bed, still in uniform less my shirt. Woke up it was 7 o' clock and dark outside. I thought I had overslept, I was supposed to be at work at 7am. Jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth and shaved quickly. I was almost to the car when I realized I had awakened at 7pm not am.

@OldGrandDad I hope you went back to bed afterwards!
I'm fascinated by lucid dreams though, where you know you are dreaming and in control of your actions in your dreams, they are very vivid and real.
