One day I was on my P.C. and I visited a hub that shared poetry. That afternoon the radio played a newly released song...from there I found the words that had been hidden in the far reaches of my mind. It began from a song I had just heard on the car radio. The words I heard were so much like a story. And I sat in the car for a while, as my mind was moving around the words.
I thought about the many books I have read. How the writer entices you into his/her head to share the story. Because to give it life, it has to be read.
A song played on the radio. I listened for a while and the words in my head were literally bouncing off the walls of my brain.

Most books I have read begin with the weather. Descriptions of the storm as it becomes closer as the sky darkens. We hear the sounds in our mind. Thoughts gather and the imagination grows. Before you realize, you have set the scene. The shimmering drops of rain splatter as they fall to feed the hungry dry earth.
I am not and never was a smart person. I did make it through High School. And I began saving right away...following Graduation I found a job as a cashier In a LARGE department store.
We were able to cash out our own drawer. To which one little boy came to my line with a toy and Coins...very old coins (obviously from Grandpas collection)----- Yes I still have those 1920' Walking Liberty Coins.
Other than collecting them, I have no idea where to take these. But they are my safety net.
