Some find inspiration and hope in God, but what about the rest of us?

For those of whom don't subscribe to God, religion, or fate, to where or whom do we direct our attention towards in which to draw inspiration from? Some theists misunderstand us, which I totally get but what they dont seem to understand is that most of us started as believers but slowly shed these ungraspable concepts. We cannot simply reacquaint ourselves with these deities we abandoned and live happy go lucky. It's like asking an abused child to love a deadbeat parent again.

For some us, when disaster strikes, life can seem hopeless and pointless. Some of us are fortunate to have family and friends in the hour of need but that's not always the case. Some of us, like me, have family and friends but still feel so lost and alone. Maybe that's because of our own self mental destructive habits. But it's a real problem that causes a snowball effect. Eventually it affects our health, finances, social life, motivation, discipline, the list goes on. And that's the rut I find myself stuck in.

Maybe as many theists dedicate themselves to a God for the promise of an eternal paradise, I should do the same but for myself. For the promise of stability and once attained, I can turn my attention to more spiritual necessities for lack of a better word.

What do you think?

Also, no bashing on this feed. I'm not gonna have pages and pages of religious arguments on here.

Imo, that's the only reason I believe in God, for myself. I don't have anything against anyone who doesn't. It's their choice, and who am I to judge anyone who sees things differently?
