Can people have connecting dreams?

When my sister and I were younger we had the same dream our moms car was driving us in it with nobody in control. Lolll well now we both just had the same dream again, this time about my drug habit that I kicked.
We both dreamed I came storming in the house punching her in the face saying “you’re the reason I’m on drugs again” and I had this dream a month back or shorter and she said hers was a week ago and she just remembered and had to check on me.
Is this normal to have connecting dreams? The same dream.. with your sibling? We aren’t twins.
