Why do people fake happiness in social media?

It's sad and fake and I just can't stand it. I know we're all guilty of hypocrisy at some point, but when you see someone doing it and asking you to take pictures of him/her, I just can't. If I'm going to capture moments, I'd rather they be real. Some people get mad when you tell them they're fake and call you toxic things. But I'd rather be real than be forced to be a tool to something I find pathetic.

I know sometimes faking things work into actually turning something real. But there are things one can and cannot support. This is one of those that I'd rather avoid.
I don’t fake happiness but I also don’t spill my problems all over it.

People just deal with things in different ways, they need to feed their needs in different ways too. I just try to understand why people do the things they do without being judgemental 🙂
What were they ask for pictures of?

[@981722,Morvoren] You know that kind of smile that's just too plastic and too forced? So when it happened, I tried to make him/her laugh so it'll be real instead of telling him/her it looks too plastic, but he/she ended up getting annoyed.
