What type of horror scares you the most?

And why? :)

For me is it's psychological horror, espcially where it manages to convey feelings of isolation and hopelessness. Although few things manage to scare me these days.

Except some horror games, the immersion makes it much worse, scares the socks right off :)

None... my reaction times are too slow and my sense of disbelief too weak for horror to affect me, lol

All I get from horror films is annoyance at how stupid the protagonists tend to be 馃檮

@Quizzical You haven't been introduced to a good horror game by the sound of it. Trust me, running and hiding from horrible monsters chasing you in the dark for hours tends to get you in a different way :)

And i agree with most regular horror movies, it's almost all been seen before now.

@Axelerator Hmmm, maybe so.

I do get a bit creeped out playing Subnautica... But I think that's because I am uneasy in deep water in real life, lol

@Quizzical cool you play it :). I haven't done it yet, mainly for lack of mates to try it with.

Stuff like Amnesia the dark descent, and S.O.M.A scare the shit out of me personally, no way of defending yourself, only running and hiding :/

There's something unnerving about deep water to me as well, espcially the prospect of monsters down there.

@Axelerator Oh, there are certainly monsters... lol

I would not wait for your friends btw. It's a single player game, lol

@Quizzical LOL i got it mixed in my head, i do know the game though haha :P

I'm more scared of the deep sea than i am of deep space tbh.

@Axelerator Well, in space you just die... IN deep water things EAT YOU!! lol

@Quizzical Well there's no shortage of fictional cosmic entities that would absolutely terrifying.

To me there's something about the deep deep water that seems scary. As a human you're out of your element and weak, compared to some ancient potentially massive creature.
