@Spoiledbrat Well. Think about it. From their view point and your own. In the end you can only take care of yourself. If they think it is a mistake, but it was necessary in your opinion, then you have to decide in the four and scheme of things if it was a mistake. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Only time and hindsight and can tell. But you cant change the past so live for the now, yeah?
