You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.

It depends on who they are and if my paycheck is dependant on those people. If not then I may tell them a mouthful. If they are just ignorant people looking for a fight I will not engage them. Some people do that kind of thing to provoke a fight.
