why not they bring out the sunk Titanic ship out off the ocean and keep it somewhere in a Museum
I have come across several people who are curious to have a one look of one of the biggest ship from its era

@lisaneetim top three points I am sure one who gets into this is worth a investment sure one can get returns of it and yes it will require lot of equipment .

If you want something to put in a museum for people to explore, it would actually be cheaper to build an exact replica of it, than to develop the technology to raise something that big from that depth, transport it to shore, put it back together, clean it out, and restore it. Like others have said, the ship is in too bad of a shape to raise intact. It's broken into multiple pieces that have corroded and rusted into an unrecognizable state. Sea creatures have since taken it over, so raising it would destroy that habitat and kill a lot of things. Plus, there's that whole "it's a mass grave" thing that you don't want to disturb.

What only remains of the bodies is the clothing they laid on the ocean floor in, 5,000metres beneath the ocean floor with all that water pressure can make an entire corpse disappear within 5 years @Elizabeth28

@Elizabeth28 yeh as one user said here its a grave to them ... so yes and around 1500 were estimated to be died that day and most bodies were never recovered

@scottamadore2 only the bodies with life vests were recovered, the ones without sank to the floor and 2kms below sea level the water pressure can disintegrate a body bones and all.

@FattyMcFatts that is true ... its almost 2 kms down from the sea level but SS Gairsoppa was a British steam merchant ship she was returning from India to Britain in 1941 with a cargo of silver bricks it was Torpedoed by german u boat as a result it sunk beneath the surface in less then 20 mins only few men survived rest of the crew was missing
in 2011 7,000,000 ounces (200 t) of silver, which when the ship was lost was worth £600,000 was taken out of the ocean

May be referring to the ‘big piece’ they brought up several years ago. Saw it at the titanic exhibit at the Luxor in Las Vegas years ago - was really cool to see it. @scottamadore2

They didn’t allow photography of the big piece itself in the exhibit. This was in 2009, I’m pretty sure that exhibit has moved on somewhere else. But if you google or YouTube Titanic Big Piece you can check it out. It’s really interesting especially if you like Titanic @scottamadore2
