Are you afraid?

I am afraid. Afraid of failing, of being alone as the cold winter approaches. I am afraid of failing, of letting down the ones I love. I am afraid of truly looking at myself, at seeing the monster inside. I am afraid to face the reality of what my dreams are. To let go of the halting half truths that I sort of believe and sort of don't. I am afraid of losing myself.
