America was always destined for a period of flatline growth. Just as the rest of the world was.
Just a part of a world economic cycle that occasionally runs close to recession and depression.
Then COVID hit. And idiot orange man (selected and elected only because.......he wasn't Hilary Clinton 🤦🏼(Nice one America 👍) Opened the doors from China to the U.S ("Nothing stops business" - President Trump) JUST when he should have slammed it shut. LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD DID.
As a result, millions died; select drug companies became extremely wealthy virtually overnight; which pleased those listed on the stock exchange and made a killing (figuratively speaking) for investors in same.
Dodgy dealings; a flatlined stock market and a severe extension of national debt saw Trump (almost) leave office whereupon JB (No not that one, the 😴one) finally took office.
But he couldn't do anything either !
partially because there was no new money in sight. And partially because the rest of the world didn't want to buy anything America was selling.
Biden's biggest error in office was probably the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Might have saved a billion or so from the national deficit but leaves the west open to resurgence of known and unknown (spot the Rumsfeld-ism 🤣) terror elements still out there.
