Well I had to get myself a toolbox because it's the only way.
If I go out, right, I have no assurances someone won't come into my room and start shuffling through it to find something like my big sister just decided to borrow my Nintendo Switch because her Joyconn broke and rifled through everything, well if they came in here and found say a Wrench they'd be like oh god-damn it he was playing with it again, and they'd pick it up and put in Dad's old toolbox and I just had to order wire strippers to put a new plug on my fan and anyway, I know, I might get one use out of it before they push in here to find something take glasses back go into my closet to rifle for coat hangers or something and see a loose tool and decide to put it back in the toolbox which, I admit I can easily access most of the time as Nicole no longer spends much time in her room since she sleeps in the master bedroom with my mother ever since dad perished. But it still just doesn't feel right just barging in there and Plus to just do something like get a wrench to adjust the speed on the fan is too much now that the knob is broken which it did Day one way back in 2022. Point being they have a way of entering my private domain for one reason or another like I forgot to bring a glass back to the kitchen and just to get the dishes going and that means if I don't start building my own tool chest my stuff is just going to get mixed in with there's, and I can't have that shit going on, I need to be able to just grab a tool whenever I need it plus when I get my car I'm going to be way more into working on it than I ever thought I would be with DIY repairs I learned watching mechanics online and much more meticulous about things like vacuuming it out periodically and removing the seats and everything in order to do a thorough cleaning to preserve the value as much as possible since the biggest bang for your buck is always cosmetic appeal since people are dumb shallow fucks who are always style over substance, so aesthetics rule the world even more than money.
So I'm going to need to assemble my own toolsex with things like wrenches we don't have on hand to get around corners and reach into them and stuff and things to lift the car off the ground and everything to work on the under carriage if necessary.
It's not that I don't trust Toyota, it's just basic shit like oil changes and being able to empty the oil pan. Plus, gaining some awareness of what such labor should actually cost so that I'm less vulnerable to unscrupulous mechanics that rip off the ignorant.
Toyota Beaverton has always been good to US, though, it's just I wonder if I can't beat them on price by just doing it myself.
Plus, I might want modifications they aren't willing to do for me, like retooling to support E85 fuel and withstand the differences in how that runs through the system.
I've learned how to make Ethanol from food stocks and such, so. Hell, I'm at the point where I really could make 200 proof Alcohol and get all the water out too for pure moonshine that was 100% completely pure Alcohol. I've been studying chemistry enough to know you could use sieves to soak up the water and then just remove them by running it back through a strainer, which is literally the last step in order to purify the last 5 percent.
I've been studying methods more than theory, so I basically know how to, even if I don't fully comprehend theory.
That's how I know shit like vacuum distillation is done to lower the pressure or raise it that distilling it that way, which enables you to boil at lower temperatures and essentially boil off the impurities at a lower boiling point which helps because some substances will evaporate away at certain temperatures and become waste product and escape containment.
So the advantage of doing it under vacuum for instance becomes that You can prevent losses and gain greater yield doing it that way with less product lost during the purification.
See, I've been getting my learn on all over the place.
Anyway, so my own tool box? As in, don't fucking pilfer my shit, I might know where you would put it But I don't want to have to go to the toolbox to grab them when I need them.
In order to express that sentiment effectively, I'm going to need to have my own because they don't really respect my words, but for whatever reason if my Will is expressed with an object they yield.
I could shout at them to not remove tools from in here, and it would just go in one ear and out the other.
But if I have my own tool box, they'll respect I spent my own money on them, and they're mine.
