How many of you have renovated 100 yr old houses?

I've been trying to gut and re-do my kids' bedroom for six months. Its do or die time now! Im having an ulnar release (surgery) on my arm Dec 23. So...I'm tired of every damn thing being held up! Im starting it on my own. 💪 Wish me luck and intestinal fortitude. 😱

Helped a carpenter buddy rebuild his place in Nichols NY. Place was probably 150 years old. Had piping for acetylene gas for lights. Coal chute. Pot belly stove. Numerous fireplaces, lead drain pipes, no insulation, very little wiring. Great wood work though.

The previous owners of this place redid thr entire rest of tge house. Heaven only knows why they dudnt come back and finish this room!
