This may be a bug. 😋 The tile that was supposed to be there in that empty spot dropped down off screen one row at the time while I tried to do the only thing that the game allowed me to do: try to move the yellow tile into the empty spot in vain.
I play by trying to move the tiles while others are falling still.

Ignore the 'calls and notifications' message. That is just a feature of my phone.
