yeah, that's me. My dad used to give me puzzles. When the rubik's cube first came out I solved it on the second day. There was no google to look up and memorise the moves. I was young and stubborn.
I even love knots. They are a puzzle.
But at work I pick up things people have given up on. I look at something maybe for months. Then when the answer comes, it's not a logical, step, step, step... Suddenly I can just see it and immediately know it solves every aspect (give or take a few ideas) and only when I explain it to someone can I unpack what I've seen. People struggle to see what i'm seeing because there are so many reasons it shouldn't work - so I have to go through piece by piece.
Some of these have affected millions of lives.
