Anyone else prompted by the lockdowns to take up jigsaws?

When the first lockdown hit us I rediscovered jigsaws. Since then in March 2020, I have had one on the go constantly. No, not the same one. I am a wee bit faster than that!

I have a loft filled with them now and only last week I donated around 10 puzzles to a local charityshop. Space is a problem!

Anyone else a devoted jigsawer?

Where's the middle one?

I always do a Christmas jigsaw. ❤️
@TinFoilHat Tobermory (Isle of Mull, Scootland).

@NudasPriest Go you!
@TinFoilHat Well, I have been there, so ...

@NudasPriest Ohhhh, I didn't know that!
Interesting! 😁📝
@TinFoilHat They look like overgrown beach huts to me. The dinghies are gorgeous though.

@NudasPriest I love anywhere by the water.

@NudasPriest Spot on!

@ronnie I'd do them more often if I had more time. One of my main passions is making clothes and that means a lot of time at my sewing machine. 😆

@NudasPriest Nope, very quaint terraced cottages that will most likely cost you an arm and a leg to buy nowadays.

The reasons the houses are painted different colours was apparently so the men returning from sea could identify their homes as they returned.

@ronnie I'd like to go there! I've been to the Glenfinnan viaduct.
@ronnie Interesting

@TinFoilHat Yep, I have been hillwalking up there. Before the Harry Potter stuff made it famous. Legend has it that there is a horse and cart buried in the concrete of the bridge. It fell end, so they say, and they simply buried it in concrete. A bit of a tall tale I think!

@ronnie I'll admit I knew about it because of HP. 😆
I went outside the tourist season though and it was stunning. So peaceful.

@TinFoilHat It is. Not sure if you walked into the glen beyond the viaduct. There is a rather modern estate house built into one of the corries. White roughcast and 2 levels. Very plain and sticks out like a sore thumb.

The estate also maintain and open bothy (or they did) up the glen for wlakers and climbers. When I visited it I was amazed. I had mains electricy and a stove! Sadly I was not staying. :)

@ronnie i didn't see the estate. Just wandered around the monument, some of the hillside and Loch Shiel.

@TinFoilHat Ah right. This would be on the other side of the road from where you perhaps visited then.
