New to chess

I have during a long time wondered if chess is a hard game to learn and how long time it takes to learn the basic rules. I have saved some websites about how to learn chess and saved them as bookmarks in my browser and I have found two good chess sites, chess.com and lichess.org. I also have seen some books about chess on swedish Amazon.se I am thinking of buying.

It's a fun game to socialize over. Get a board and grab a friend head down to a little coffee shop somewhere and make an evening out of it. Good times!
