Under $50 lil spree
Well it's like this folks, my challenge is really just a means to get some serious reading done, and there will indeed be long spans of time without getting anything new, but these things were nagging me, i NEED those 6 french moralists Nietzsche listed off.
1. Montaigne - check, i have the Donald Frame translation from Everyman's Library, M.A. Screech's translation would fit nicely in the kindle too, but another day, Screech btw did Rabelais also which i have a copy of.
2. La Rochefoucauld - check!!! the eBook wasn't compatible with my kindle, so a paperback is arriving tomorrow, damn right it is!!!
3. Chamfort - check!!!
4. Fontenelle - check!!!
5. Vauvenargues - check!!!
6. La Bruyere - check!!!
and this guy, i have some of his stuff physically, but this is sooo handy and will help prepare for Jung, who i will enjoy more, and did you know Stefan Zweig's Struggle With the Daemon was dedicated to this fella? The surrealists also held him in high esteem too, so just trying to make him sound worthwhile to me.
