Did you ever enjoy board games? Do you still get together with friends to play them? What's your favorite one?

I liked the game of 'Life'. I played it when I was a kid. Probably at that age, I just liked to spin the spinner and zoom the little cars full of people around the board. I actually don't remember much about it except I always laughed when I, at 6 years old, 'had' twins. Back then, I also liked Operation. My siblings always wanted to put a little electric shock on it to go off along with the buzzer. That God my mom didn't let them. Lol. I'd probably still be twitching. Monopoly was always waaaay too long and boring, Parcheesi was boring too, but Chinese Checkers were decently fun. Yahtzee was a favorite, even though technically not a board game. Clue was good one though - *said with a dramatic flair in my best stuffy English accent "the butler, with a candlestick, in the dining room" I mean who didn't love that one? Maybe I'll put together some snacks and get a group of friends together toresurrect one or two of these old classics.

I love board games and also grew up playing them. My taste in board games has grown to include European board games - my faves are probably Agricola and Settlers of Catan.

@Markinator As you might well imagine, I have never heard of those two.
@LadyBronte FYI the latter of those was mentioned / featured on The Big Bang Theory...

@SomeMichGuy Which I also didnt watch with any regularity. Lol.
@LadyBronte I figured a person whose name conformed with a set of 19th century English novelists might well be unlikely to have watched that...but at least people have heard of the series.

@SomeMichGuy Oh, it is popular, but Sheldon got on my nerves. And not in a good way. 😆
@LadyBronte I think you had the intended reaction.

Thus, Leonard and Penny.

@SomeMichGuy But some people enjoy watching his antics. I am not one of them. Lol.
@LadyBronte I understand him and nearly went to the real place on which their university is clearly based.

But he's too much
@LadyBronte ...and their boards aren't always correct.
