I have a friend who says every time he plays, no one ever wins. You just go around the board buying properties, and then once all the properties are bought well that's it game over. I went <facepalm> and said to him, You do realize you're supposed to make deals right? Like if I own 3 of the railroads and you have the 4th one, I would offer you a property that I have that you need with or without money for the property that you have that I need.
He says, nope, because as soon as I give that away, now you have a monopoly. Like, he doesn't understand that's how it's supposed to work lmao. I told him, well that's how it works on the original Nintendo version. The computer players will start making deals with you and you can make deals with the computer players.
There's a lot of things that just go completely over his head, and trying to explain it, or help him make sense of it, just ends with him yelling. It's been a good while now since we last spoke. He's just very very toxic right now with the whole politics thing.

@itsok Yeah. I've never had the chance to play Monopoly the right way. With making deals and stuff. Because as a kid I never understood what you were supposed to do other than go around the board and buy property. I never played the game with my friend, I didn't meet him until later in life.
