Do you play pool?

A new billiard hall (pool room) opened near me. I went in just to check it out and ended up just getting a table for a while. I played a few racks by myself and noticed a young guy on a table by himself. I asked if he wanted to play a game or two. His response floored me he said he'd rather play someone his own age. My response was that this wasn't a date or anything and was he afraid to get beat by an old guy. I knew what would happen then. He said that we should play and put a few $ on it. I then said okay and he said $100. I said sure. We played straight pool to 100. He had 30 when I got to 100. He wasn't happy but gave me the $100.

Back years ago I used to frequent a pool hall. It was $15 for 2 hours or something. So this older guy comes in and asks if I wanted to play a game with him. I said sure let's play. He says, well, how much do you have on you? Now, I had $40 on me, but I said, only enough to pay for the table. He says, okay so let's play and whoever loses pays for the table.

I thought it was funny because I had already paid lol. The rule was, you pay then you play. I said okay. Of course I knew the guy was trying to hustle me and of course I lost. He says, well guess you gotta pay for the table. I said, yeah, lol. Then he just leaves, like he made some big accomplishment lmao.
