Does any play "magic the gathering"?

I'm going to get my first deck builder tool kit this weekend. I've never played but it looks very interesting! Does anyone have any tips for a beginner?

I used to play back in the day. Each color has some fun stuff to it but I really liked playing Red and White. The red did lots of quick damage and the white was good for healing etc. Just depends on how you like to play. Green has some cool poison counters.

@TheCaterpillar: oh yea I read that the red cards are for more people who play aggressively. I saw a video online that says you should add at least 25 land cards to your deck. why did you stop playing?
