I really like it, I'm well into Act 3 and on 300 hours so far. The characters are very fleshed out surprisingly with a ton of back story content. There's even a separate story you can play as an origin character at the start but it's recommended to play it the second time through, the Dark Urge, which basically acts as its own story outside of BG3.

There's also stuff that if you play around enough, you'll discover weird quests and the like, they really did think things through.

I will probably go backwards and play BG 1 and 2 some time also.
@SatanBurger I’m playing the Dark Urge, also on act three. What do you think of the cheesy love scenes and sex scenes? I was like WTF and couldn’t stop laughing…especially with the mind flayer and his tentacles. I really am enjoying it too, so immersive, I bought it for myself and the hours I’ve spent on this game has made it worth every penny. I played Baldurs gate 1 and loved it too. You should give it a go.

@CrystalSkull How is it playing the Dark Urge? I considered that on my first play through but everyone said to leave it until the second play because otherwise it closes you off to a lot of quests if you decide to be bad lol or something and then others say you can resist your urges and keep the quests so to speak so I think that's good. Wasn't for sure though.

Lmfao I know there's a sex scene in Sharess Caress but I didn't end up taking it as I'm playing Astarion and romancing Gale at the moment as a bisexual Twilight glitter vamp 🥴 and Gale was not okay with having a threesome with the twins, tho I tried really hard.

I can imagine the sex scenes would be cheesy, I'd like to see about that mind flayer one lol, maybe there's a youtube video of it.

@CrystalSkull Right now I have Astarion dressed in a leather kink outfit and he's been roaming around BG3 half naked as a vampire monk lol. At first he was romancing Shadowheart and then went onto Gale for some reason, things just happened that way I guess.
@SatanBurger oh I romanced Halsin and he wanted to join in on the 3 some and he turned into a bear because I woke the’ animal in him” oh man it was hilarious. I just struggled to watch..lol. I think you can romance and sex up all the party members if you want. Honestly I haven’t noticed that much of a difference except for the options of speech. My daughter is also playing (not the dark urge) we compare notes and so far our storylines and quests have been almost identical.

Yeah Shadowheart also gets possessive. My toughest battle was Moonrise towers, man I struggled, also the forge and deactivating it. What about you?

@CrystalSkull Hahahahaha that's so great, Halsin is a freak lol, "woke the animal in him" hahaha. That's too funny, I wonder what the writers thought when writing this stuff to be honest, they were just sitting there and was all like, you know what would be really cool? 🤣

I should have chose the Dark Urge, I wanted to lol, maybe sometime later.

Moonrise Towers was hard until I figured out that I could do things a little backwards. So I reloaded to an earlier point, it was at the point where I'm doing Shadowheart's quest and get to a certain point where you enter this pool of water or a cave or something I forget to get to Nightsong. I don't enter the water at all, instead I save from there, go back to Moonrise Towers and kill everyone first.

You can kill groups of enemies without alerting the whole building, but sometimes the group does alert and sometimes it doesn't. But if you pick smaller groups off little by little you can really narrow it down.

Then you can head up the stairs to where Ketheric is but don't go to the center as it will trigger. I just went outside, attacked the first guard right outside the door and then I waited until everyone came to me and picked them off one by one. I didn't really move from my position.

Then... after I killed the guards, I went back to free Nightsong and then went to Moonrise and confronted Ketheric after that.

....

I did the same with the Goblin camp, I basically just went around pushing them off cliffs and the fight was much easier lol.
@SatanBurger wish I read this all before I spent hours fighting in the towers. It took me hours and constant reloading, my level wasn’t high enough at that stage I think.

My character is a perv…she asks all of them, “Want to go again?” She’s a wood-elf rogue. I know right, those writers must’ve had a good laugh. The first time I saw the genitals in the game I was like WTF….😂 anyway thanks for the tip and good luck for your quests, battles and romances.

@CrystalSkull A wood elf rogue does sound like they'd be a fitting freaky character haha, that's too funny.

Are you done with BG3 yet? I'm not, I'm kind at the beginning of Act 3, somewhat getting towards the middle. If you're not, then I'd just remember to take them down one by one like that lol
