Have you and your friends ever played Heroquest?

My house mates surgested that I should get a version of Heroquest for my birthday. We usually play it at least once or twice a week when we are all together its a great bonding experience. It's a lot of tactical thinking involved and a single quest can take up to 3 hours but it is a great game. We even play dungen themed music through our phone and have the game light up by candles.

So a friend of mine had it and we played it at his place. Then he never played it after that. I finally convinced him to sell it to me then I bought my own after that and combined both sets together.

One of the open doors was folded so I scanned it in and printed it on stock paper and made it the same thickness as the original and it's holding up better then the original.

Then I played with some relatives and we changed up the rules a little bit as well.

Glad you guys are having fun.
By now, there are some more challenging products on the market.
If you can get your hands on a set of: "Descent Journeys in the Dark: 2nd Edition" for instance. Don't buy 3th. Another big one is "Gloomhaven". And if you just want to have fun, and backstab your friends... you can look at "Arcadia Quest". But that last one is a lot less serious.

i had hero quest as a kid in the 1980s, but never got round to playing it, from what i saw it did look great though, it's a shame i never had chance to play it.

Yes. The new version has an app that can run the game for you. Plenty of new heros you can play as. It is a fun game.
