Twilight Imperium is Wild

Any other board game fanatics here? I spent *twelve hours* playing twilight imperium last weekend and I can't stop thinking about it. I was worried the complexity would be overwhelming, but once we got deeper into it, it started coming together.

That's my number 1 game right there. We play 3th edition with all the expansions once a year. Sadly, it's hard to get people around the table for this where I live. Because I wouldn't mind playing more then once. I got 4th edition on the table once:

Haven't played with the 4th edition expansion yet.

@Kwek00 We did it as a special event - with 7 players, it was everyone's first time, I think about half of us can't wait to play again.

We were playing 4th edition with one of the expansions, but I'm not sure which one.

I loved how it developed as we played - once the agendas started, the game took on a life of its own. A travel wormhole ban split the table into two different factions, with one pro-wormhole and one anti-wormhole. It felt like there's a ton of depth and replayability.

@jademonkey19 The only rule in this game... is that you need to make a point every turn. That's the only goal of all the players. Make a point every turn... or get hopelessly behind. Your hidden agenda are key.

We ussually don't seed the table... we use maps from the internet keeping the map balanced. But seeding can change the game completely. I think seeding is better with people that are more used to playing.
