Eunoia which means 'beautiful thinking' is the shortest English word to contain all five vowels.

It is also the name of a book by poet Christian Bök consisting of five chapters, each one using only one vowel. Not a page-turner unless you're into that kind of thing :).

@ClassicRocker You're welcome! If you're into wordy things, there's a very odd quirky book "Ella Minnow Pea" that I recommend. If you're not, you would just find it weird. Actually it IS weird but I liked it :).
