I can't quite put my finger on the exact reason why I like it so much. I think it's mostly because it's so calming, almost therapeutic even, to just build stuff to your heart's content. If you want to build, go ahead, if you want to explore, sure, if you want to screw around with some of the more complex redstone machinery, feel free to do so. And the hundreds of mods just offer even more variety to an already endless game. It's the kind of perfect sandbox game to just sit back and relax with, whilst listening to some music and so forth. Well, at least for me.
