Boardgame? Dune (if I had enough people) or Pandemic.
Computer? Starbound or Goose Game. Still have to wait for Doom Eternal to release, otherwise that would be the number one choice right now.
Dune is a board game? @PirateMonkeyCabinet

@DukeOfEarle There was a recent reprint of it. A lot of people have done printing themselves since it had essentially been out-of-print for about 40 years if I'm not mistaken.

It is a six player game though and involves a lot of scheming and potential for backstabbing.

If you're interested, here's a quick link to the reprint: https://www.gf9games.com/dune/
@PirateMonkeyCabinet OMG I’m geeking! I never knew this was a thing. Thanks!

@DukeOfEarle You're welcome. Didn't know it myself until recently when my YouTube feed suddenly suggested a video from a longer live stream where they had one really experienced guy (who used to run tournaments) and a bunch of fairly fresh ones learning to play the game live. It looks really complicated and can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but they all got into a good flow by the end of their first game and even I managed to pick up most of the rules by that one game.
@PirateMonkeyCabinet I played advanced D and D when I was a squirt. So this shouldn’t be too incomprehensible. So glad you mentioned this. I hope the new Dune movie finally does the book some justice

@DukeOfEarle Being completely honest I haven't read the books (although I should). Have a huge backlog of reading. Gonna be interesting to see how the new one turns out though.

I'm sure you'll get the rules quite quickly then. I simply haven't played enough board games to get rules easily, so I was pleasantly surprised that despite the complexity of it I had managed to understand it that quickly. The only "downside" really is that it should be played with six players as the factions are quite asymmetrical and balance each other out, so it does require having enough boardgaming friends or a club of some sort.
@PirateMonkeyCabinet Dune is...heady. Its an adventure story mixed in with politics, the coercive forces of religion and some good old fashioned sci-fi at its finest. It’s not a quick or easy read but it is a satisfying one for most.

@DukeOfEarle So I've heard. It wouldn't have reached the status it has for no reason. Would be a really interesting read, just have so much to catch up on. It is on my list though.
